The Music of Super Bowl 44
Posted by chelseadavison , Feb, 2010 @ 11:27 amLast night’s Super Bowl contained some musical elements that are worth mentioning.
First of all, Carrie Underwood can sing. I had seen her a bit on American Idol and so I knew she had a nice voice but the material was usually not to my liking and so I wrote her off as another blonde pop star. However, watching her sing the National Anthem (a very difficult song), I was impressed.
The Who performed at the Super Bowl Half Time Show and I think it was really cool. The medley of hits featured a really intense light show and a charged performance despite the age of the rockers. Also, what a cool stage!
Finally, T-Pain showed up in a Bud Light commercial. Sounds like Super Bowl 44 was a big hit, no?
