The self-descriptively named Matt and Kim have been around since, what, 2005? No, Wikipedia says 2004 so I’ll trust them. But by no one’s fault but my own, I’ve only gotten into them recently. They’re a part of the IHEARTCOMIX brigade that I’m always so damn effusive about. This duo is more Hearts Revolution than Team Robespierre, and are likely the most accessible act of the COMIX lot. And holy hell are they catchy.
Exhibit A: “Daylight”
Listen to it now. Have it stuck in your head for a week. In a good way. And luckily for humanity, Matt and Kim are on tour! The dates are below (thnx Myspace!!!). If you like smart pop music, then, well, see them. I’ll be at the Crooklyn show. WE CAN HANG!!!
